Places to go and places to take people...

Hampton Inn has a website dedicated to "hidden" landmarks and other landmarks. Here are some of my favorites:

Bubblegum Alley in San Luis Obispo, California

Because my mother would love it: Home of the Tallest Santa in Santa Claus, Indiana

The Astoria Column in Astoria, Oregon (supposed featured in a bunch of movies, but I just like that it's covered in pictures)

Bad Art Museum in Dedham, Massachusetts - They really do just showcase very bad art that was either donated by the artist or found in the garbage somewhere. Their descriptions are absolutely hysterical!

About the picture below (titled "Think Again") : "The understated violence implicit in the scene speaks volumes on our own desensitization, our society's reflexive use of force, and the artist's inability to deal with the hindquarters of the animal."

To freak out Jen P.: The Bigfoot Museum in Felton, CA

Dr. Seuss Memorial in Springfield, MA

Cabazon Dinosaurs in Cabazon, California - Be sure to tell 'em Large Marge sent ya!

And I've only gotten to D on the list...
