This little box from Hammacher and Schlemmer (the people that have brought us the LP to MP3 converter) can create digital prints out of photo negatives and slides. It doesn't seem like it would be very complicated to use and someone like my great-grandfather (who has been a big photog nut for most of his life) could probably use it to preserve his mountains of photographs. At $99.95, it's definitely cheaper than a good quality photo negative scanner. (I just wonder what kind of quality this box gives out.)Link (via Popgadget)
